Andrew Rose is an accomplished painter and museum curator based in Ventura, California, and Honolulu, Hawaii. Raised in Los Angeles and trained in New York, he earned his A.B. in Art History from Vassar College in 1993, and a dual-honors M.F.A./M.S. in Painting and Art History from Pratt Institute in 2003.

As an artist, his work scales from small plein-air oil paintings to large commissioned murals. As Associate Curator of the Channel Islands Maritime Museum, his focus areas include the permanent collection, contemporary exhibitions, and artist-in-residence program.

For over 35 years, Andrew Rose has pursued an award-winning career in the U.S., Europe, and Hawaii with Bruce Weber, Florida Hospital, Fundación Valparaiso, Hawaii State Art Museum, Honolulu Museum of Art, Martha Keats Gallery, Museum of Modern Art, National Gallery (London), his eponymous Andrew Rose Gallery and other fine institutions. He has published and received press for his work in Artweek, Hana Hou!, Honolulu Magazine, Honolulu Star-Bulletin, The Orlando Sentinel, and various mass media.
